In praise of Lewis

I've been meaning to put in a word of praise for Lewis for a while.

Coming from a home which sometimes seems to revolve around watching Taggart, Midsomer Murders, Morse etc, we have quite a background of watching TV detectives.

Lewis, I am pleased to say, is one of the finest and is coming very close to Morse, which was of course the Big King Grandaddy of all TV detective series. I was particularly impressed that ITV drafted in someone of Alan Plater's abilities to write the screenplays.
